A young female narrator examines new technologies which help us at home. Live-action footage is combined with informative graphics, illustrate the working of the CD, Satellite Dish, Remote Control and Mivcrowave. Related terms such as laser, satellite dish, waves for broadcasting and infrared light are also explained.

Technology At Work
What common elements might we find in seemingly different technologies such as the Fax Machine, Electric Door and Digital Camera? Our young female narrator uses everyday analogies combined with clear and easy to understand graphics to help us learn the answers to these and many other questions.

Technology At Play
New technologies or 'emerging technologies' such as Touch Screens, and Digital Tape Players have tiny computers that constantly receive and send data. When we play with video games and joysticks, we often forget that we are using technology. Our narrator, along with the detailed graphics, provide a clear understanding of how these technologies have things in comomon.
